Fire tears through Astoria home

A woman suffered burns to over 40 percent of her upper body when a fire tore through her Astoria home, NBC reported.

The fire took place inside 35-55 29th St. in Astoria at around 6pm Thursday.

The burned resident was taken to the hospital, along with a firefighter who had minor injuries including smoke inhalation.
