An unidentified man robbed a deli in Astoria at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon and now police are looking for him.

The man, who was wearing a black bandana over his mouth, entered the iKraveit Food store at 34-02 30th St brandishing a black firearm. He then ordered two male employees to move to the back of the store and demanded an unknown amount of cash and a cellphone before running off, police said.

Police released the above photo and video of the suspect and described him as black, about 25 years old, 5 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded long-sleeve sweater, dark pants, black sneakers, a dark bandana over his mouth and holding a black firearm in his right hand.

Good kid. Just needs access to fresh fruit and vegetables and other programs so he won’t join gangs, deal drugs, and rob people.

I can’t believe all the cowards taking time to post their racist comments. If this is how you feel…show your face and wear your racism proudly. Crime has existed in Astoria for years…this is not knew. Where was this passion when they arrested the Russian couple burglarizing homes in Astoria or the Greek man exposing himself to children in Astoria Park…all people commit crimes. I am disgusted in half of these comments.

We are at the point with the internet where I honestly can’t determine whether or not this is satire. I’m unsure how to proceed! I’ll just downvote you because if it’s sincere, you’re a horse’s ass, and if it’s satire, it should clearly be so, beyond question. Cause I said so.

What is wrong with you? Have you looked up crime statistics in the US? How cowardly can you be…there is crime in Astoria also committed by Eastern European organized crime etc. That does not mean all Eastern Europeans are criminals or have you forgotten about the recent Russian couple burglarizing homes.

It took Giuliani and Bloomberg 20 years to significantly reduce crime and bring in business/job growth to NYC. Deblasio will destroy it in 8.

Why, do or did any Republican law makers comment on every robbery or crime perpetrated in a blog? Your posting that stupid “where is” and “where are” comments are old and just plain boring. Get a new calling card already.

Uh…Not sure if you are aware of this, David, but Astoria hasn’t had a Republican lawmaker since 1982.

Crime did exist. But people knew where in Astoria to stay away from and criminals knew where not to mess around because residents where not going to tolerate it. Nowadays its happening in the residential areas that people considered once safer.
