A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death following a deadly dispute on an Astoria street Sunday night, police said.
A fight between the man and a group of individuals erupted near 36th Avenue and 31st Street in Astoria around 8:40 p.m. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Mount Sinai Queens where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, according to police.
Three other men were injured in the melee.

I don’t like trump and his narcissism disorder and lawless behavior. Just a tragedy that we have him as president. But the cause is plain and simple. It is the democratic left and their misandry and identity politics that divides everyone and subtly and not so subtly blames males (a huge voting bloc) and in particular white males for the worlds problems (as opposed to contributing to having made things better). Reducing everyone to a race and gender and leaving it out individual accomplishment.. my guess done to pass on responsibility and accountability for people’s state on others instead of their own behavior. It’s sad because you have psycho case on one side, and the toxic left on the other driving it. Look at Warren recently making a joke about men. Can you imagine if it was the reverse? And how is she doing now? Not so good. We need sensible non-woke, non misandric leadership that will fight for the moderate middle class. Or else I’m afraid we may be doomed.
You may not like Trump, Tomsey, but he is the only one that is speaking for you. The left does not allow even a scintilla of criticism of left-wing orthodoxy. It is all of nothing with them so your arguments are falling on deaf ears.

It used to be people had an argument and there were no weapons to hurt or kill. The last 20 years, at least, everybody has a weapon. If there aren’t enough cops to patrol every street, bring back auxiliary cops to work with the local precincts. Give them walkie talkies to be in contact with the precinct so if they see something, they can let the cops know and hopefully save lives.

Gianni – You’re living in alternate university. I grew up in Astoria in the 70’s and remember seeing “stop building housing projects” shirts on many students Bryant HS. We always had some type of crime. As with this crime and the vast majority of crime committed in the area we will find out the participants are project dwellers.
It’s an Outrage what Democrats are doing to this City, Only people who are safe here now are the Criminals.
Why wasn’t an arrest made? That’s manslaughter! If you know the 3 were injured but alive opposed to the dead man than why not arrest them and jail them to await a trail. What would you have them do kill more people? And our politicians would have us believe that Astoria is safe and fit for luxury… Yeah I feel sooo safe knowing a murderous gang is loose walking the streets. Thank you Democrats for making the streets safe for thugs.
@Astoria Anon- This never happens in Manhattan or Brooklyn. People like you are first to defend a recidivous like a person who recently obstructed justice, convicted of stealing $2 Million from veterans and convicted of fraud and stealing $28 Million from victims with a bogus university scam. Yes judges forced him to pay restitution to victims. That must have hurt and will teach a career criminal a lesson. LOL This was a fight among losers who are familiar with each other and will be caught. You’re in no danger. Do you know who you’re riding the rail road or subway with? Do you know who you’re dining out or sitting next to in a movie theatre? If you were from anywhere in NYC you would know this.
I was BORN here and only lived here all my 46 years! If Manhattan and Brooklyn is so safe, then you have the right to move back there!!! I want MY town safe for MY neighbors and family! Do a crime do the time is what old school Astoria taught. 4 people in a fight 1 against 3. The 1 dead the 3 others injured but responsible for the 1’s death. But instead the “city” patches up their boo boos and sets them loose on the streets. What’s to stop them from harrasing another victim.

New York City is still safe according to some bozo elected officials, they will bs crime is down. But almost everyday unprovoked assaults, fights, some kind of sexual assaults, violent robbery in the news. The bs we aren’t going back to the 80s according to city hall, we will get worst.
Very sad to hear amount this deadly violent in Astoria. There is crime in all the 5 boroughs so don’t signal out Astoria. You will see that this homicide will be related to gang violence or a drunken arguement. I am confident our great NYPD detectives of the one 14 will solve this case and will bring justice to the victim’s family.
Yeap. Robberies all over the place. Criminals being coddled and let loose. Cops being ambushed in their own precinct house. Smelly bums on every street corner and in every subway car. Middle class taxpayers fleeing as soon as they can. It’s quite clear that the Democrats are running things again…

Astoria has turned into such a sad place. Families with children would flock here because it had such a good reputation. Now it has a reputation for being cheaper than LIC and Brooklyn, loud/partying, and its easy access for criminals and assaults to occur.
