Woman’s thigh is slashed while jogging in East Elmhurst

A man sliced a woman’s thigh with an unknown object as she was jogging in East Elmhurst on Sunday morning.

The 19-year-old victim was jogging when an unknown man slashed her thigh with an object at the intersection of 25th Ave and 79th Street, according to police.

The incident took place at around 11:15 am on Sunday.

The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a male, Hispanic, approximately 20 years old. He was wearing black shorts and a gray hoodie.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
