The NYPD is looking for a woman who allegedly whacked an on-duty police officer in the head with a shoe inside a fast-food restaurant in Astoria early Sunday.

The suspect allegedly struck the cop while a number of police officers were responding to a disorderly group inside Chubby Burgers & Chicken, located at 25-97 Steinway St., at around 3 a.m., police said.

The woman fled the scene on foot following the attack, police said.

The victim, a male officer, was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Elmhurst in stable condition with pain and bruising to his forehead, according to police.

Police released video footage of the woman wearing a red-colored wig and black-colored jacket.

In another video clip, taken during the alleged incident, the perpetrator can be seen without her wig and jacket hurling the shoe at the police officer.

It isn’t clear what sparked the initial disturbance at the eatery.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). NOT clear as to WHAT provoked the disturbance??? … REAAAAALLY.

How’s about a pack of nigh on to feral folk, abjectly lacking most, if not all, of the most basic qualities that define decent humanity (Ref: Galatians 5:22) …

… took the sort of offense that most of us grow out of after the “terrible twos” at which point we (God willing) begin the pathway to adulthood and the discovery that we are not the ONLY people in the world. (ELK USNA ’68)
