READER REVIEW: “The search is over – the answer to your baby problems is right in your backyard”

May 7, 2017 By Matty Ferrara

Finding answers to most questions currently consists of typing a few keywords into Google search. Such a search of “colic baby formula” nearly 3 years ago is what lead Peter to Organic Start – an Astoria based company selling all European based formulas while providing much needed relief to tens of thousands of babies and exhausted parents throughout America.

Peter Basios, the founder, and his wife Pennie were struggling with three healthy but colicky triplets and were desperately in need of help. “The babies did not seem comfortable – their intestines made monstrous sounds leading us to believe that something was wrong, we anticipated that the formula might be the underlying problem.”

Peter’s search introduced him to a new world of European based formulas (HiPP, Holle & Lebenswert) whose ingredients not only surpassed any American formula but also provided the much needed hope for a change. Peter immediately ordered these formulas produced in Germany and once received, immediately switched the babies to the new formula. Within 72 hour s the babies were sleeping soundly, their reflux stopped and those scary intestinal sounds were silenced.

This was the solution after all – this was “miracle milk”.

Peter and Pennie were caught off guard. They questioned why they had not been informed of this formula by any pediatrician or hospital. As many unsuspecting parents they followed the advice given and fed their babies an American based formula; which were filled with several unhealthy ingredients that do not provide any nutritional value to any baby. Most parents are under the impression that all these reactions from these formula are “common” and “the babies will grow out of it”. But realization soon settles in that the babies are suffering, the symptoms are not passing and parents are thrown into a vicious cycle of multiple pediatric visits and constant changes of formula; which onsets more health issues for the baby and unnecessary anxiety for the parent.

Peter is a part of this new generation of parents, he feels “acquiring real, organic baby formula shouldn’t have been as hard as it was.” But Peter is a man who thrives on challenges and the great successes that result from them. He is a very hands-on entrepreneur, frequently visiting his warehouses in Germany and the Netherlands. He maintains great ongoing relationships with his partners and takes pride in his work – it shows in his daily interactions with others. Behind the scenes is Peter’s own formula that will be the fruit of his labor and the closest substitute to breast milk. In the works is also a new line of organic baby products that will aim to please even the most health-conscious consumer. But that is a story for a later time. The old saying about making lemonade from lemons is very apparent in his story.

Americans are becoming more label conscious and leading healthier lifestyles consuming more products that are organic, non-gmo and just all around nutritious. The new generation of parents expect the best from the formula they are feeding their children. They are looking to provide their babies with an Organic Start, from the very beginning – from day one.

As if Astoria wasn’t cool enough, now we’ve discovered a warm and successful online start-up in our backyard! I feel very grateful to have found a formula for my granddaughter that I feel can be trusted! After literally hours of research the Holle formula had the best reviews and information . The organic standards are much higher in Europe then the U.S. Some of the “popular organic” formulas made in the U.S. still had things in them that I would not want her to drink! She has had absolutely no issues with the transition from my daughter weaning her from breast milk to the Holle formula. SO grateful that this company actually cares enough about what goes into our babies little bodies! The fast shipping is a bonus! Thank- you! Highly recommend!!

We were so lucky to find Peter and Organic Start. We got rid of the metallic, smelly, staining American formula that our little one hated and loved Holle and Lebenswert. He’s over 1 and we still supplement regular cow’s milk with formula to settle his stomach when needed. Great service, products are the best, can’t recommend enough. Have sent coworkers, extended family and neighbors to Peter. Rave reviews always come back.

“miracle milk”…. wording like this should be a red flag to anyone deciding to use a product.

Exaggerations mean JUNK SCIENCE.
