Stationery/Toy Store Opens on Broadway

Morning Glory, a Flushing-based retail stationery/toy store, has expanded to Astoria.

Morning Glory, which is based in Flushing, opened its Astoria location earlier this month, at 40-15 Broadway, just down the block from Steinway Street.

The store features stationery supplies, such as paper, notebooks and office supplies. It also offers plenty of children’s toys.

The shelves are loaded with stuffed animals, toy racecars and Hello Kitty items.

The amount of reported grand larcenies across Queens dropped a significant amount across both northern and southern Queens during the 28-day period from Sept. 30 to Oct. 27, compared to the same period of time last year, according to the NYPD’s latest crime stats. Another notable trend over this period of time was vehicle thefts dropping sharply in northern Queens but increasing a large amount in southern Queens.
