Police released video footage today of a drive-by shooting that took place in Long Island City on New Year’s Eve that left a teenage boy injured.
A black BMW was driving along Queens Plaza South when it pulled up alongside a parked car and a gunman fired two shots into the vehicle at 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 1, police said.
One bullet pierced the left shoulder of a 17-year-old boy who was sitting in the parked car with three others at the northeast corner of 9th Street.
The teen was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated and released.
The NYPD released the footage Friday in the hope that someone would be able to identify the vehicle the shooter was in. The car is believed to be a black BMW sedan.
