Police are looking for a bike-riding pervert who attempted to rob a woman at gunpoint in Astoria early Friday.
The man cycled up behind the 22-year-old victim and slapped her in the buttocks while she was walking home from the Steinway Street subway station at around 3:45 p.m., according to police.
He then rode off while the woman continued walking along Broadway.
A few minutes later, the alleged groper approached the woman again on his bike while she was outside her home in the vicinity of Broadway and Crescent Street.
This time the suspect pulled out a gun from a fanny pack and tried to rob the woman but she was able to run to safety and call 911. The victim was not injured during the incident, police said.
The suspect is described as being around 25-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black t-shirt, dark-colored pants, tan work boots and a dark-colored winter cap.
The NYPD released video footage of the suspect they are looking for.
