Permits have been filed for the construction of a 7-story mixed-use building in Astoria.
The building located at 23-29 Astoria Blvd., between 23rd Street and Crescent Street, would be 69 feet tall and feature 10 residential units and commercial space. The plans call for a building that would be 11,894 square feet.
While the building would be mixed-use, the vast majority of the space would be for residential units. Approximately 10,037 square feet would be used for residential space, with the average unit being about 1,000 square feet—indicating that they would most likely be condos. The remaining 1,857 square feet would be commercial space.
Some of the planned features of the building include a roof deck and a rear yard measuring 83 feet in length. The property is located within close proximity to the Astoria Boulevard subway station, which services the N and W trains.
The building permit has been filed by Elton Lalaj of 2357 LLC. The architect of record is listed as the Astoria-based Anthony Cucich Architect.
Demolition permits have not been filed. An estimated date for completion of the construction has not been announced either.
