NYPD: Two Men Attempt to Rob East Elmhurst Gas Station at Gunpoint Saturday

The police are searching for two men who attempted to rob an East Elmhurst gas station at gunpoint in the early hours Saturday morning.

The two men allegedly drove into the Sunoco Gas Station, located at 88-20 Astoria Blvd, in a BMW M3 at around 3 a.m. Feb. 17. One of the men got out of the vehicle, displayed a firearm and demanded cash from the gas attendant, according to police.

The attendant ran from the men and the suspects then drove off east on Astoria Boulevard.

The suspects are both described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds.

The driver was seen wearing a red hooded sweater and dark gray pants. The suspect with the firearm was seen a dark blue hooded sweater, tan pants and brown boots
