NYPD: Man Burglarizes 79-year-old’s Apartment

Police are searching for a burglar who broke into a 79-year-old man’s apartment in Astoria on May 5.

The suspect allegedly walked into an apartment building near 31st Avenue and 37th Street at around 7:45 p.m., forced open the victim’s front door, and grabbed a television, briefcase and hat, police said.

The thief is described as a dark-skinned man who was wearing a white long sleeved shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
