Medical Writer from Astoria to Compete on Jeopardy Monday

A medical writer originally from Astoria will compete on Jeopardy tonight on ABC.

Former Astorian Michael Zannettis will appear on the television quiz show hosted by Alex Trebek at 7 p.m. Monday.

Zannettis will compete against returning champion Kevin Walsh, a story analyst from New Jersey, and another New Yorker — Barbara Giesser, a neurologist from the Bronx. Walsh has won $42,900 from the previous two days, according to the show website.

Zannettis now lives in California and co-hosts a politics podcast, according to LinkedIn.
