NYPD: Man wanted for Queensbridge shooting

The police are searching for a 33-year-old man who allegedly shot three people – none fatally– in the NYCHA Queensbridge South Houses in March.

The police claim that Shalarmel Nieves left a party near 41-16 12th St. at 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, March 23, only to return a short time later to shoot a group of people.

A 50-year-old woman was shot in the leg; a 25-year-old man was shot in the foot; and a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg. All three were listed in stable condition, police said.

The NYPD described Nieves as a 5’8″ tall Hispanic male weighing 175 pounds.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).

Surveillance photos released of gunman sought in murder of East Elmhurst woman: NYPD

The NYPD on Tuesday released surveillance images of the suspected gunman who allegedly shot a young woman to death inside her East Elmhurst home on the night of Friday, Sept. 12.

Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 26-30 96th St. at 9:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found 21-year-old Dashanna Donovan with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.
