Man stole diamond ring from Steinway Street jewelry store on Monday, police say

The police are looking for a man who allegedly walked into a jewelry store on Steinway street Monday and walked out with a diamond ring without paying for it.

The man entered Zales Jewelers, located at 31-07 Steinway Street, at around 3:30 pm, asked the clerk to see a ring and then walked out with it once it was in his possession.

Police describe the man as white, with a tattoo sleeve on his arm.
