Your lack of empathy is appalling, but not surprising. Being an addict doesn’t (inherently) make you a criminal, but it does make you a victim. It’s a disease and as a community we *should* find a way to help these folks, not vilify them. Try to focus your anger on the actual criminals and crimes they commit.

Oh horseshit with the “disease” excuse. Show me the results of the testing. Please. Empathy? Where is empathy for the rest of society that needs to bust their asses every day to go to work and be productive? The vermin on Steinway do commit crimes. Wake up and take off the rose colored glasses.

Yeah what does “Old Astorian” expect us to think, an opioid addiction epidemic is sweeping the nation or something?

Just because every psychologist ever has said that addiction is disease, what are they against the expertise of “Old Libtard?”

Paul didn’t say the homeless issue was a CRIME…he said it was NEWS.

Big difference. And it is news, as local politicians supposedly have this grand plan on how to revitalize Steinway.

This is news? Drunk man is punched in face outside of bar? What about the homeless camped out on Steinway street????

Nonsense. They are drug addicts and alcoholics. In and out of institutions who hustle along Steinway street to fuel their addictions. They are the scum of the earth…
