Man Killed in Drive-by Shooting in Queensbridge During Early Hours Sunday

A 23-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting across the street from the Queensbridge public housing development during the early hours Sunday morning.

Madgey Saleh, a resident of Queensbridge Houses, was gunned down when an unknown suspect fired several shots from a moving car and struck him in the abdomen in front of a deli at 10-03 40th Ave. at around 3:27 a.m., police said.

Madgey was found by police lying on the pavement unconscious and unresponsive. He was taken by EMS to a local hospital and was pronounced dead at 4 a.m.

The police have made no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

East Elmhurst man busted for a fatal collision in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the 4th of July: NYPD

A Queens grand jury indicted an East Elmhurst man in connection to a July 4th fatal collision at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Yersson Diaz, 27, of Ericsson Street just south of LaGuardia Airport, appeared at Queens Criminal Court for a summons on Tuesday and was taken into custody, according to an NYPD spokeswoman. He was booked Tuesday afternoon at the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst, where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
