Man Found Dead Behind Steinway Street Building: NYPD

A man was found dead behind a Steinway Street building on Wednesday, police said.

The police received a 911 call at around 9 a.m. and discovered a 58-year-old man in the rear of 23-19 Steinway St. The man was unconscious and unresponsive.

Medical personnel responded and pronounced him dead on the scene, according to police.

The medical examiner is set to determine the cause of death. The investigation is still ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.

It’s frank. I work at the family deli next door at 2311. He used to always buy coffee like 10 times a day from us… And he’d buy his favorite sandiwch as well… A roll with Mustard, onions, 2 bacon, 1 tomato, and 1 American cheese.

He’d come and spend like 20 mins talking to me everyday. Very sad this happened to him.

The other articles I read on this claim that the dead man was found with stab wounds and that cops suspect foul play. I live very close to this area and I can not wait to move.
