A man was fatally shot inside his girlfriend’s East Elmhurst home Saturday morning.

The victim, 27, was shot once in the chest by a male suspect just before 8 a.m. —inside a house at 23-23 98th St. — and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said.

The victim, whose identity has yet to be released, was shot inside the single family house before stumbling outside and collapsing in front of it. He had been inside the house with his girlfriend who was not injured and lives at the residence, according to police.

When police arrived, they found the victim unconscious and unresponsive lying on the ground.

The victim, who was known by police, was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead.

The police have not made any arrests and said the investigation remains ongoing.

The suspect, according to the NYPD, was wearing a black hoodie with the word “world” emblazoned in white across the back.

Police did not provide a motive for the shooting.
