Man fatally shot at Queensbridge Houses Saturday

A 23-year-old man was killed and two others wounded after a shooting broke out at the Queensbridge Houses Saturday, police said.

Jahhad Marshal, from Astoria, was discovered by police in the rear yard of 40-15 12th Street with a gunshot to the back at about 2:30 am Saturday. He was transported to Cornell Medical Center where he was pronounced, according to police.

A 29-year old female had been shot in her right arm and was transported to Elmhurst Medical Center in stable condition. An 18-year-old man also sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg and was driven by private means to Metropolitan Hospital in stable condition.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. A $2,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information.

Silent majority

And people were mad at me for complaining that some 500k of public funds went for playground renovations in Queensbridge . Three people shot and its not even summer yet. Queensbridge has always been one of the worst housing projects.
