In the legal system, in the United States, you are innocent until proven guilty. That’s why reporters are required to say allegedly & that’s why the writer of this article, added allegedly to his article (which was not there prior). Why are you getting so bent out of shape?

No one including myself is saying he’s innocent and no one is saying he shouldn’t be arrested.

Yeah……we know ! But In my eyes ……when you commit the crime ;; You’re GUILTY !

You neglect to use the word “allegedly.” Not defending someone that may have tried to steal a cell phone. All I’m saying is there are many sides to every story and he didn’t actually take the cell phone & no one was hurt. I think before we post pics of people online, accusing them of something we should be more cautious..

Black people started to cause more problems in Astoria. This has been noticeable in the past few months. The Greek community will be the first to suffer

Golden Dawn? Not even trying to hide your fascist alliance, I appreciate that, let’s you know who your enemies are. Golden Dawn tried to bring their Nazi propaganda to Astoria a couple of years ago and even the old-timer Greeks didn’t bite. Try that $shit again and you will be chased out, again. As a 20 year resident, Astoria has always been, and will continue to be a safe, colorful, multi-ethnic neighborhood.

The New York City Council passed a landmark bill on Wednesday, aiming to relieve renters of paying hefty broker fees — a cost that will now fall on the party who hires the listing agent. Known as the FARE Act (Fairness in Apartment Rentals), the legislation passed with a veto-proof majority of 42-8, despite opposition from Republicans and conservative Democrats.
