Astorians have the opportunity to meet an Internet sensation this month.

Lil BUB, the cat that took the Internet by storm with her big eyes and dangling tongue, will make an appearance at the Museum of the Moving Image on Jan. 30.

The museum will present “The Story of Lil BUB,” featuring the famous cat and her owner, Mike Bridavsky. The event starts at 1 p.m. in the museum’s Sumner M. Redstone Theater. Tickets cost $25.

Lil BUB was born with a multitude of genetic anomalies, according to her website. She is described as a “perma-kitten,” meaning she will maintain her small size and kitten-like features throughout her life. She also has no teeth and extra toes, among other features that contribute to her unique appearance.

In addition, the Museum of the Moving Image will sell a number of $100 tickets that include the chance to meet, pet and take a photo with Lil BUB and a limited edition, signed and personalized Lil BUB art print, as well as entrance to the 1 p.m. program.

All of the proceeds will go to Lil BUB’s ASPCA fund, which provides grants to animal welfare organizations to help homeless pets with special needs.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to go home with a cat of their own, as the ASPCA Mobile Adoption Event will be set up in front of the museum’s entrance from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
