April 16, 2014 By Christian Murray

A group of men in their 20s beat up a teenage clerk at a Main Avenue bodega and fled with $30,000 early Saturday, according to police.

Two of the men walked into En-Express Deli, located near 8th Street, around 3 am and sought help from a 17-year-old clerk at the back of the store, the police said.

However, the men assaulted him and force him into another room, while letting in two more thieves into the shop who broke into a lockbox and stole about $30,000, police said.

The 17-year-old victim sustained minor injuries.

The police released pictures of two of the suspects.
