A two-family apartment house is going to be demolished to make way for a five story rental building.
Building permits were filed for a five-story apartment building—comprised of 10 units–at 23-30 30th Drive, according to the Department of Buildings records.
The space is currently three stories. Demolition permits have not been filed.
Jorge Cherres, of J Square Architecture, is listed as both the architect and the property owner.
Great. Even less parking. I am so tired of these new buildings making Astoria even less affordable. I curse the new 7 story building going up on 29th Street and 31st Avenue because it’s taking away my beautiful view of the empire state building. 🙁 I wish I was Sophia Petrillo so I could put a Sicilian curse on all of em.
Sure hope they build a 10 spot parking garage on the first floor to accommodate the extra cars 10 apartments will bring to the street
seriously!!! I drive around for an hour sometimes!
Greed and more greed.
