FDNY Holding Open Houses Across the City This Weekend

More than 200 firehouses and EMS stations across New York City will be holding open houses this weekend as part of the FDNY’s fifth annual open house program.

The firehouses will open their doors to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday Oct. 6.

The FDNY is holding the open house weekend to educate the public about fire and safety, conduct demonstrations, discuss careers within the Department and offer tours.

Four stations in both Long Island City and Astoria will hold open houses at the weekend, while there will be two open houses in Sunnyside/Woodside.

In LIC, Engine 258/Ladder 115, Engine 259/Ladder 128, Ladder 116 and Engine 260 will all be open to the public.

Engine 262, Engine 312 and Engine 263/Ladder 117 will be holding open houses in Astoria, along with EMS station 49.

Engine 325/Ladder 163 and Engine 292 will hold open houses in Woodside/Sunnyside.
