Caffe Bene Leaves Ditmars Blvd Location

Caffebene

Jan. 5, 2016 Staff Report

A little more than a year after opening, Caffe Bene has officially left its Ditmars Boulevard location.

The coffee shop chain, which has numerous locations throughout New York City including on Steinway Street and in Sunnyside, opened at 31-30 Ditmars Blvd. in October 2014. By June 2015, the business had been listed for sale.

The landlord said Caffe Bene officially left on Dec. 30. The store has sat dark and boxed up for weeks; a Caffe Bene spokesperson could not say when exactly the franchise closed, but said it was due to “the franchise owner’s personal issue.”

The spokesperson said Caffe Bene is considering opening new locations in western Queens, but could not give specific details as leases have not yet been signed.
