NYPD: Body Found in East River, by Astoria Shoreline

A man’s body was pulled out of the East River near Astoria this morning, according to police.

The NYPD responded to a 911 call of a body floating in the water in the vicinity of Astoria Park, near Shore Boulevard between Ditmars Boulevard and Astoria Park South, police said. The call came in a little before 8:00 am.

The unidentified man is believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, according to the NYPD. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.
