Man Wanted for Fatal Stabbing on Northern Boulevard Friday

The police have released video surveillance of a man wanted for a fatal stabbing in Jackson Heights Friday.

The footage is of a suspect who allegedly killed a 21-year-old man by stabbing him multiple times in the chest on Northern Boulevard Friday evening.

Police responded to a call at around 7:30 p.m. on June 12 that a man had been assaulted in front of 82-15 Northern Blvd. Upon arrival they found the victim with multiple wounds to the chest. He was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Nicolas Caicedo-Velasquez from East Elmhurst.

The suspect is described as being of light complexion, slim build and with a beard. He was last seen wearing an orange/red polo shirt, black baseball cap, blue jeans, black sneakers and a black crossbody bag.

A Brooklyn man was indicted by a Queens grand jury on charges of manslaughter, drunk driving and other crimes for a fatal collision in Astoria that killed his long-time girlfriend and mother of their young child in February.
