A new Paris Baguette will open near the Ditmars Boulevard subway station in late April or early May.

A location of the South Korean-owned French café chain will open at 22-20 31st St, the former location of a Foot Locker. The restaurants serve sandwiches, coffee and Asian-influenced French pastries.

The bakery will be the first Paris Baguette owned by Fresh Meadows resident Amer Nadeem.

Nadeem has worked in the restaurant business for 35 years and formerly owned his own café, but decided to open a Paris Baguette franchise because he believes the brand offers him the opportunity to open more stores.

“I believe it is a great franchise,” said Nadeem. “Their standard is very high.”

The location will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Paris Baguette also operates shops at 42-22 46th St. in Sunnyside; at 96-33 Queens Blvd in Rego Park; and at 107-08 71st Ave in Forest Hills.

Paris Baguette, which first opened in Seoul in 1945, has about 3,800 locations internationally.

The brand owned 58 locations in the U.S. as of June 2017, and has announced plans to operate 350 locations across the country by 2020. Paris Baguette said in a press release that 300 of these locations are planned to be franchises.

They say 1 any size coffee with purchase of sandwich. Bought a sandwich and they said its not part of the special meanwhile it says any sandwich talk about false advertising.

The Caffe Bene on QB doesn’t do any on-site baking. They’re more about selling coffee.

We have one in Sunnyside and it’s done really well. As usual, there were many negative comments posted online before it opened but it’s a nice store: clean, friendly, and lots of delicious baked goods. Their baguette is the best in town!

Vera – You obviously have never been to either Cafe Benne or Paris Baquette, they’re different, Paris Baquette does its own baking.
