Police: Man breaks into Dutch Kills home and steals $25,000 medical instrument

A man stole an intimate object from a Dutch Kills house earlier this month and police have started a probe in an attempt find him.

Police are searching for a man who stole a package containing a urethroscope valued at $25,000.

The instrument is used to go up through the genitals to view the uretha, the canal through which urine and, in the case of men, semen is discharged.

The suspect entered the house in the vicinity of 28th Street and 41st Ave, on June 4 at 12:40 am, according to police. After grabbing the package that contained the instrument, the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction, according to police.

Police describe the suspect as an adult Asian, male, with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing black shoes, blue jeans and a button down gray shirt.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect and are asking anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
