Queens Comfort Team To Serve Burgers And Cocktails At New Concept On Ditmars Blvd

The owners behind Queens Comfort are planning a new burger and cocktail spot on Ditmars Boulevard.

The new restaurant, which will be called Flattopps, will be located at 33-06 Ditmars Blvd. The restaurant will serve “NYC inspired comfort food and cocktails,” according to their Instagram page.

Flattopps will offer craft burgers and will have arcade games, according to a source close to the restaurant.

The owners recently applied for a liquor license at this location, under the name Flattopps. This contrasts with Queens Comfort, which does not sell alcohol but is a BYOB establishment.

Queens Comfort opened at 40-09 30th Ave. in 2011. It is popular for its unique twist on American comfort foods, such as the “Peanut Butter and Jelly” burger and Capt’n Crunch chicken sandwich.

Owner Donnie D’Alessio confirmed in Febraury that the Queens Comfort team would be opening a new location in the vicinity of Ditmars Boulevard and 31st Street, but was not ready to provide further information at that time.

The owners declined to comment for this story.

The location was previously Aki, a Japanese restaurant.
