Point Brazil Restaurant, located at 38-03 31st Avenue, closed its doors in December in order to expand its interior and allow for the construction of 16 residential apartment units above it.
The revamped restaurant is scheduled to reopen next month, when the building’s infrastructure is completely taken care of. “The building needed work, such as piping and gas work,” the owner said.
Despite the restaurant reopening, work will continue on the residential units. They are not expected to be available for lease for another 6 months, according to a local real estate broker.
The restaurant has gained a following in the neighborhood for its BBQ meats, spaghetti, juices and desserts.
