The police have released a photo of the suspect they believe was responsible for a bank robbery that took place in Astoria yesterday.
The suspect entered Astoria Bank, located at 37-16 30th Avenue, shortly after 2:00 pm and approached the teller demanding money, according to police. The teller complied and the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
There were no reported injuries.
The suspect has been described as a 29-year-old white man, with a beard and mustache, approximately 6’0″ and 170lbs. He has a light complexion, and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans, and a black coat.
The police believe this man is also responsible for the robbery of a Chase Bank branch in Bayside on Feb. 2. In that case the teller complied and he got away with an undetermined amount of cash.
