Police are searching for a couple who purchased an engagement ring and wedding band at an Astoria store on someone else’s tab.
The couple entered Zales, located at 31-07 Steinway Street, and purchased the rings using a credit card that was fraudulently obtained in the name of a 34-year-old man, according to the NYPD.
The rings were bought in the afternoon of Oct. 1 and retailed for about $5,200.
Police have released surveillance video of the pair at the Zales store and are asking anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
