The dogs seem to be barking for this place.
NYC Pet Services, which opened on 30th Avenue a year ago, has moved to bigger digs after outgrowing its space.
The business, which offers pet day care, boarding, grooming and dog walking, started operating out of 31-21 31st Street on Monday.
“Demand has been very high,” said Samantha Aguilar, the owner.
“This past weekend [at our old venue] was our busiest yet,” she said. “We had 30 dogs boarding and were at capacity.”
Aguilar has since closed her 23-08 30th Ave location (second floor), which she opened in January 2015.
The new 31st Street location is roughly 1,200 square feet, which will allow Aguilar to board about 50 dogs.
“It is double the size of where we were,” Aguilar said.
She expects that all of her existing customers will be follow her to the new facility, she said.
Aguilar is hopeful that her clientele will continue to grow, since the new location is between two busy subway stations on 31st Street and is on street level.
“We feel like we are in the heart of the neighborhood and should get a lot of foot traffic,” she said.
The facility will continue to offer doggy day care, where dogs are walked and get to play with other canines for $30 per day.
“We have a fun play set and a slide for them,” Aguilar said. “They will be active and get to release their energy.”
The facility will continue to offer supervised overnight boarding. For $45 per night, a dog is also walked and picked up/dropped off from an owner’s home.
However, Aguilar said the facility is not limited to just dogs.
“We have taken care of cats, rabbits, birds, hamsters, ferrets, and chinchillas,” she said.

We have actually been open WAY longer but don’t like to boast. “Rob” I invite you to our grand opening where I’d be more then happy to show you our nicely framed LICENSE WHICH HAS ALWAYS AND WILL ALWAYS be up for display. Worst ppl ever, never take care of the dogs they crate up 24/7, my dog lost 6pounds bc they never feed it
