Madame Sou Sou will open a second location on Newtown Avenue this month.

The café, which serves coffee, pastries and other eats on 33rd Street, will expand to 31-19 Newtown Avenue by Dec. 21, according to owner Ahmed Hegazy.

This new location will serve as an “express shop,” allowing residents or building tenants to quickly get their coffee and food as they head to work, Hegazy said. The cafe will not have any seats.

“People on the go will be able to stop in and quickly get their coffee,” he said.

The building is home to a lot of doctors’ and lawyers’ offices, according to Hegazy, which could be a perfect fit for the bakery.

“They can grab coffee as they head to or from the office,” he said. “They could get food on their breaks.”

The menu will be the same as the first location, which features coffee and espresso, macchiato, cappuccino and latte. The café also serves a variety of soups, sandwiches, salads and pastries such as croissants, sticky buns, scones and danishes.

The cakes are baked using organic eggs and flour, fresh fruits and Valrhona chocolate, per the menu.

The shop will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

Hegazy and his wife opened the first Madame Sou Sou at 31-05 33rd St. in July of 2014. That café can seat 16 people inside and has 12 additional seats outside.
