Two Killed In Grand Central Parkway Crash

Two men were killed in a car crash on the Grand Central Parkway this morning, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a call at 2:42 a.m. and discovered two unconscious, unresponsive and unidentified males inside of a 2014 black Hyundai Elantra in the vicinity of the Grand Central Parkway and 31st Street.

EMS reported the two men in the Elantra dead at the scene, according to police.

An investigation showed that the Elantra was traveling eastbound on the Grand Central Parkway when it collided into the rear of a 2011 white box truck, which was occupied by a 35-year-old male, according to the NYPD.

The box truck was parked on the right shoulder of the Grand Central Parkway, near the 31st Street overpass.

The driver of the box truck remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

The NYPD have not released the identities of the deceased.

The victim woke up and tried to regain his property. During the ensuing brawl, the victim fatally stabbed a 37-year-old assailant and slashed a second man.
