Astoria’s only Taco Bell is up for sale.

The fast food restaurant—which is being sold as a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combination for $375,000—is located on the first-floor of 30-78 Steinway Street, according to Mega Homes Realty, which is marketing the property.

The restaurant, which is 2,500 square feet, has 10 years left on its lease.

The business owner could not be reached for comment.

The property’s landlord estimates that the Taco Bell/Pizza Hut opened about six years ago. It does not appear to have been very popular in the neighborhood; reviews on Yelp and Foursquare are overwhelmingly negative.

The Steinway Street franchise is the only Taco Bell in Astoria. Other locations include Woodside, Jackson Heights and Elmhurst.

The only place I’ve ever been assaulted by hooligans! Some kids threw their still-full large soda at my head before running out of the store once. It hit me in the face and exploded. Good times.

Taco Bell cannot compete in a neighborhood with many Mexicans and many other Mexican food options that are way better.

what?

i’ve never been able to find real quality and legitimate mexican food around here. if you have any suggestions please post

business on Steinway street sucks anyways. you have cheap owners in place who won’t pay a broker fee to get a solid tenant in place, and they charge way too much for rent to begin with.

this is one of the worst shopping corridors in the area.

40 cheap costume jewelry stores and businesses that can’t stay open longer than 6 months.

The service was not up to par. Also I’m not sure Taco Bell is not as inviting unless it has a suburban type of design to it. Like having a drive thru and parking spots in a good location such as the BK on Astoria blvd would help.

Op-Ed | Four years after Hurricane Ida, Queens deserves real climate resilience

Sep. 2, 2025 By Assembly Member Jessica González-Rojas

Four years ago, Hurricane Ida tore through our neighborhoods of East Elmhurst, Corona and Jackson Heights, leaving behind devastation we will never forget. We lost neighbors to the floodwaters. Families saw their homes destroyed, their basements wiped out, their lives upended. Immigrant families—so many of them undocumented—were hit the hardest, often excluded from relief altogether. Ida was not just a storm; it was a wake-up call.
