A seven-story, 46-unit mixed-use development is planned for 4th Street, neighboring the Astoria Houses and the site of the incoming Hallets Point megaproject.
Located at 26-02 4th St., the building will house residences as well as offices for an ambulatory diagnostics provider.
Plans were filed last week with the Department of Buildings for the structure, which will include apartments on the third through seventh floors, 23 parking spaces and 23 bicycle parking spaces and a basement fitness room.
The second floor is reserved for the ambulatory diagnostics offices, and a lobby for these offices will be on the first floor.
The existing 3-story, 13-unit building still needs to be demolished.
Owners did not respond to requests for comment.

Screw this whole friggin city. Soon we’ll all live in storage lockers or move to the Carolinas and Florida like every native New Yorker. This whole damn place fell apart when the jerk booths were removed from Times Square and all of you friggin midwest idiots moved here.

More people. More units. More quick profit for the owners. Soon no neighborhood and complete overcrowding and by that time these quick profit owners will have sold and be gone. DISGRACEFUL.
When are they going to add more school seats and transportation options to account for all these housing units they keep adding to the neighborhood?
I just don’t understand how the old city waste pipes can keep up – anyone?
