A man in a wheelchair entered a bank in Astoria Monday, passed the teller a note and took off with cash, according to police.
The man entered Santander Bank, located at 37-10 Broadway, at 2:10 pm and passed the teller a note demanding cash. The suspect received approximately $1,200 and fled westbound on Broadway in his wheelchair.
The suspect is described as being between 25- and 30-years old, black, approximately 160lbs, clean shaven, wearing a grey hoodie, in a black wheelchair.
