Caffe Bene on Ditmars Blvd for sale

CaffeBeneJune 3, 2015 Staff Report

The first casualty of the booming Ditmars Blvd café scene appears to be Caffe Bene, a franchise operation that is part of the Korean corporate giant.

Caffe Bene, which opened at 31-30 Ditmars Blvd last October, has been listed for sale with an asking price of $400,000.

The Ditmars Blvd Caffe Bene opened at a time when several independent cafés opened nearby, including 60 Beans just blocks away and OK Café just around the corner.

Starbucks, which has opened five locations in Astoria, also has a location in the Ditmars Blvd area at 22-04 31st Street.

The owner of the Caffe Bene franchise could not be reached for comment.
