April 24, 2015 By Christian Murray

A bicycle-riding pervert has been riding through the neighborhood grabbing women’s buttocks, according to police.

The police said that the alleged perpetrator squeezed women’s buttocks on three separate occasions in Astoria this month.

The first incident took place on Thursday, April 2, when the suspect allegedly approached a 33-year-old woman while riding a bicycle and then grabbed her buttocks in the vicinity of 34-12 34 Avenue. The police said the incident took place at around 11:00 am.

The second incident occurred on Wednesday, April 15, at about 8:45 pm when the suspect allegedly approached a 29-year old woman while riding a bicycle and struck her buttocks with his hand as the victim was walking in the vicinity of 35th Avenue and 41st Street, according to police.

The very next day, Thursday, April 16, at approximately 11:00 am, the suspect approached a 30-year-old woman in the vicinity of 33-15 36 Avenue while riding a bicycle and struck her in the buttocks with his hand.

The police said the suspect is a Hispanic man, with medium to dark complexion and between 5’4” to 5’8” with a stocky build.

He was seen wearing a light blue rain jacket and a light blue and white baseball hat.

A video of the suspect is attached.

There are actually a lot of Quiffs in this neighborhood who would welcome this happening to them. Too many Quiffs living in Astoria now… It feels like Chelsea or the West Village.

How odd. Yesterday I was walking down 30th Ave by Athens park and an Arab on a bicycle rode up to a blonde lady and asked for a pull of her ciggerette and she obliged. He took it, gave it back, then sped down the street to the corner where two males in their 20’s were apoaching the street. The bicyclist slapped the male’s buttocks really hard (I could hear it half way down the block) and sped away into the street escaping the man who was slapped as he tried to grab him off the bike. Maybe it was the same guy??? This happened at about 11pm on April 24th.

OK, so why is the video showing him simply riding his bike? Without evidence nothing can be really done.

There were probably witnesses who are willing to come forth.
There are other kinds of evidence other than video evidence. Perhaps you watch too much TV.
