The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition is hosting its annual Steinway Street Fair this Sunday.

The fair takes place on Steinway Street between 34th and 28th Avenues from 12 to 6 pm.

Vendors will be selling jewelry, clothing, handbags, linens, art & crafts and other items. There will also be food vendors and rides for children.

“It is a great event to go to with you family,” said Marie Tornialli, the executive director of the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition.

Stores along Steinway Street will also be setting up tables in the street- including Tu Casa (a Peruvian restaurant), Jewel Licious (a jewelry store) and the Lincoln Hallmark shop, according to Tornialli.

“It is great to see local vendors participating,” she said.

The fair will include a performance from a Cirque du soleil-like group—called Skyz the Limit.

The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition has been hosting the street fair for over 20 years now, Tornialli said.

Tornialli said that over the years the fair has drawn more vendors. Despite the growth, she said the goal has always remained the same.

“It is a great way to bring the community together,” she said.

I guess I missed this, I really needed some new socks, I’ve pretty much annihilated mine, after filling them up with my juices.

Some of the vehicles were stolen from owners’ driveways, some with the keys or key fobs inside. The stolen vehicles were often sold through advertisements on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The defendants are charged in nine separate indictments for a total of 373 counts, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced on Thursday.
