An Astoria restaurant will reopen tomorrow after being forced to close following a fire in an upstairs apartment.
Michael’s Restaurant, located at 33-17 Broadway, closed on Feb. 15 after a fire tore through an upstairs apartment. The owner had to make repairs to the ceiling and floor.
Despite the six week closure, the restaurant–particularly the menu—will largely remain unchanged.
A sign went up late this week announcing the re-opening.
The restaurant has a loyal customer base, with 145 Yelp reviews averaging 3 1/2 stars. Some reviewers rave about the French fries, onion rings, Greek pizza, seafood platters and portion sizes.
The owner was not available to comment about the re-opening.
