An Astoria resident will be appearing on the hit TV game show ‘Let’s Make a Deal’ this Thursday.

Edrees Arzomand, 24, who lives near Astoria Blvd/Steinway Street, will be appearing on the show on CBS at 10 am.

Arzomand said he was selected to be on the show after being an audience member at one of the tapings last October.

“They see who gets excited, is passionate and lively,” he said, before making their selections. “They then have an idea of who would be a good contestant.”

Those selected go on the show the very same day they are live audience members. He said that he was so surprised at being selected that he does not recall everything that went on that day.

“It will be interesting to watch it,” he said. He was not permitted by CBS to say how he fared.

While he is a little hazy as to what took place during the show, he said it was a great experience to participate and meet Wayne Brady, the host.

“He’s very funny and down to earth,” he said about Brady.

Arzomand is a long-time fan of the show and said he watches it whenever he is home during the day.

Arzomand, who works in finance, moved to Astoria in 2012 from Long Island after he graduated from Stony Brook University.

“I love living in the neighborhood,” he said.
