createMarch 6, 2015 By Michael Florio

A 30th Avenue sandwich shop will be venturing over to the other side of Astoria.

Create, located at 36-03 30th Ave, will be opening a second shop at 29-21 Ditmars Blvd, according to Mario Gonzalez, the manager.

Gonzalez said the menu will be the same as Create’s, which opened in 2011. Therefore, the new eatery will offer items such as sandwiches, faro bowls, quinoa bowls, fruits, salads, wraps, burgers and a juice bar. Create is known for offering a selection of fresh, healthy options.

The name of the Ditmars Blvd store has yet to be determined.

Gonzalez said construction, which began last week, should take six months to complete.

The location was previously Vino di Vino, a wine bar that closed in early 2014. The wine bar was run by the owner of Trattoria L’incontro,

“The rent went up and I didn’t want to deal with it anymore,” said Rocco Sacramone, owner and chef, at the time of the closing.
