The Astoria World Manor, located at 25-22 Astoria Blvd, reopened on Feb. 18 after being closed by the Health Department last week.

Ike Ahn, the general manager, said that the banquet hall hosted three parties today and will be putting on 11 events over the weekend.

Ahn said the venue was initially shut down by the Health Department on Feb. 13 after at least 100 mice dropping were found in an oven that had not been used for more than 10 years. There was also one cockroach and a water bug by the elevator, and flies by soda machine, Ahn said.

The venue was re-inspected on Feb. 17 and remained closed after an inspector found droppings in a closet that was used for filing papers, Ahn said.

On the next inspection, the establishment reopened (see below).
