A 78-year man was thrown to the ground and robbed Tuesday while he was at the front window of a convenience store purchasing cigarettes, the police said.
The suspect approached the man outside the 22-44 31st Street convenience store, threw him to the ground and forcibly removed his cash.
The victim sustained an injury to the back of his head and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital and is in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35-years-old, 5’9″, 200 lbs., with a light complexion and brown eyes. He was wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, a white hooded jacket, blue jeans and tan boots.
