Astoria man throws dog down garbage chute, faces 7-years prison

Dec. 29, 2014 By Michael Florio Crime-Scene-Tape-475x3174

An Astoria man is facing up to seven years in prison after killing his grandmother’s 1-year-old dog by throwing it down a garbage chute, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.

Kamel Wilder, 26, was allegedly at his grandmother’s sixth floor apartment in the Astoria Houses on December 18th when her 1-year-old mixed-Yorkie started barking.

Wilder, who got into an argument with his grandmother over the barking, allegedly took the dog down the hallway and threw it down the garbage incinerator at about 8:30 pm.

Police arrived at the scene the next morning and found the dog lying dead on the basement floor at the bottom of the incinerator.

Wilder was arrested and has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.

Wilder, according to the district attorney’s office, stated the constant barking caused him to lose his cool and abuse the animal.

“I was just at my boiling point and stressed that my baby can’t sleep from all of the barking so I confronted the dog about the barking and he continued.”

“I wanted to give him a little pop on the head, that’s when my grandmother defended him. I was angry about this, I chased him to the hallway and my grandmother followed,” he told the arresting officer.

“Then I just lost it and picked him up and disposed him down the garbage shoot,” Wilder reportedly said.

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.
2 Corinthians 5:10

There must be a special place in Hell for Mr Wilder…
