The 10-day Astoria Art Festival kicks off today and will feature about 30 Queens artists.

The festival, which runs through Oct. 6, will highlight Astoria’s growing arts scene by transforming the walls of about 20 local restaurants, bars & stores into gallery space.

Last year, the event was held over the course of just one weekend; however, its success led organizers to hold this year’s festival over 10 days.

Queens Comfort, Sweet Afton, Hell Gate, Sparrow, Astoria Park Wine & Spirits, Lockwood and William Hallet are just some of the venues where the art will be displayed. The art will include a mix of photography, paintings, illustrations and mixed-media creations.
